Mizzou G.O.L.D. award

I was just notified that I’m the recipient of the Mizzou G.O.L.D. award for outstanding service to the University for a graduate that is fewer than 10 years out after graduation. Such an honor!

I have to gather my thoughts so I can give a speech at a banquet in Columbia in September. Flights are already booked.

I’m so grateful for not only the education that the University of Missouri provided me,but the “Mizzou Mafia” has been instrumental in my success in New York.

Mizzou is part of my story when I first moved to New York. I got involved in the alumni community when I moved here thinking I would meet great folks and ultimately find a jobby job through the network. While that wasn’t how I got my first gig in the city, everyone was so welcoming to me which felt great. I continued to stay involved, planning networking events and meeting interesting, creative professionals who continue to be my friends.

Fast forward to two years ago as president of the alumni chapter of 300 individuals in NYC.
