A month left in the states

Graduating college seems like the easy part now that I am done and have the diploma. What is the more challenging part is shaping the next years of my life. These are the years where you choose the trajectory for the rest of your life. Mine is going to Spain to teach English. This is only one life- trajectory. I hope to have many. This job might lead into something later or it should improve my Spanish skills or it hopefully might help guide me in a later career path. Whatever the outcome, the experience is sure to be an unforgettable adventure.

The first step is done. Besides turning in the application and getting accepted in the program, I just visited Chicago to drop off information for my visa. This included my health form, my application, a money order, my acceptance letter from my region and. It is necessary to drop off the information in person to the Spanish Consulate in Chicago. I will need to return in several weeks to pick it up.  Then I will be set considering I already bought my plane ticket.

I’ll be flying out Sept. 28. The date gives me ammo to tell anyone of my plans to travel abroad. It legitimizes the trip and makes it real.  Yes I’m going to Spain. I have a ticket with my name and my passport number. I’m really doing this in a month nonetheless.

Let the adventure begin.
