Paseo en Jerez

Jerez is beautiful and I have yet to explore all the cool nooks. With a population of about 10,000 I won’t be able to meet everyone, but I will have a chance to find all of the interesting places. Without a car, it’s no problem because Jerez is walkable. Granted it might not be easy to walk due to the hills, but the distance between one side of town to the other is not too far.

My new American friend showed me a gem the other day. Jerez has a lake, and it’s not too far from me! While I hate waking up in the morning because it’s so dark, at least for now, the sun holds out until about 8 p.m. This is the perfect time for a walk.

If the farmers could only see me take photos of their cows, goats or other animals, I think they would think it’s a bit strange, but to me, it’s so authentic.

The path to the lake is quite nice, and we ran into quite a few people jogging, walking or biking. Although the fact it’s downhill to get there and uphill on the way back up makes it not the easiest paseo.

The lake will definitely a place I hope to return to. It’s great to know there is such a pretty landscape surrounding Jerez.
